Abstract At this present, energy consumption has been increased continuously except IMF period. Especially, growth ratio of gas consumption for heating or hot water supply is very high. Therefore, to reduce the gas consumption, it is necessary for us to use energy for hot water supply economically or reduce the amount of gas consumption. But with the trend of hygienic life culture, gas consumption for hot water supply doesn`t decrease entirely. For these reasons, the authors carried out an experimental study on simplified prediction method for output water temperature of gas fired instantaneous boiler. This study suggests direction for high efficiency and method for efficiency improvement of hot water supply system by simple prediction method for output water temperature of instantaneous gas hot water boiler.
