This study is aimed at analyzing the post plans for the utilization of space of respective cities which attracted the WorldCup game, classified by the use of space, and at grasping the characteristics. The post utilization plan which has been promoted so that the invested large scale facilities can be put to use persistently and economically after the WorldCup, is considered in view of public good and profitableness, and in particular, these facilities can be largely divided into physical education facilities, educational and cultural facilities, commercial facilities, and other incidental facilities. On conclusion, the characteristics of utilization are as follows. First, the characteristics show proportional interrelation which is strong in the number of the users' bracket, population density, utilization area, and utilization ratio. Second, in the ratio between all the areas of the stadia and the utilized area, Seoul and the metropolitan cities form the upper group in accordance with the background conditions of cities, and as we go down to central and southern regions, the ratio of the utilization of the stadia is getting lower and lower. Third, the ratio of the utilization and the occupancy rate of commercial facilities have a interrelation, and regardless of the utilization rate, the occupancy of commercial facilities and that of educational and cultural facilities show strong inverse proportion relation. Fourth, in terms of respective cities, we can see that while Seoul, Kwangju, and Daejeon have emphasized profitableness, Incheon and Ulsan Cities have planned for the WorldCup with the aspect of public good in mind. The rest of the cities have planned, by balancing profitableness and public good. |
