Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to develop the hybrid method apartment with shear wall structure, which has merits of the exiting precast concrete members and in-situ concrete members. The tests were performed to assess a friction factor(μ) and shear strength of the developed horizontal joints under centric compression on the PC walls. The test program is described and the results are summarized. By the experimental results, the shear strength capacity for new horizontal joints increases in proportion to centric compression regardless of slab type and the friction factor of this horizontal joints appears to be higher than 0.6, which is criterion value according to the domestic Precast Concrete code. Therefore the shear strength capacity of the horizontal joints presented in this paper can be evaluated to satisfy the design strength of PC code and the other design formulae reported. |
