Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the varying characteristic factors that are influenced on housing remodeling behaviors(maintenance, improvement, alteration). The sample is 185 households in Chung-ju, Je-chon, and Won-ju Which are small cities in the central region of Korea. The results of the research are follows: Firstly, Remodeling behaviors are more related to the housing and sociocultural characteristicsthan the family characteristics. Family characteristics are only related to space alteration, and its extent of effect that influences the frequency of remodeling behavior is weak. Secondly, Residential satisfaction is statistically significant in maintenance and improvement behavior, and it was appeared that both of two behaviors occurs much in the house of low residential satisfaction. Neighborhood satisfaction related to maintenance behaviors, it was occurs more frequently in the residents who have highest and lowest neighborhood satisfaction. Thirdly, The relation of constraint factor felt by residents upon remodeling behavior is statistically significant only in improvement behavior. Family group that feels constraint in external factors shows the high frequency of improvement behavior, while family group that feels constraint in family internal factors shows the low frequency of improvement behavior. |
