Abstract |
Technology and engineering advancement is critical for the construction industry in order to stay competitive in the global market for the 21st century. It is obvious that construction automation and robotics is an emerging topic for safety and productivity improvements in the construction industry. The main objective of this paper is to suggest a technology roadmap model for planning and executing the construction automation research and development. The process of roadmapping is presented using a case project, which is development of pipe laying manipulator. |
