Abstract |
It was examined how architects consider the materials through a questionnaire. With a questionnaire, the possibility of quantificative analysis for tensity is evaluated by SPSS program. The study evaluates tensity that the texture of materials have with psychological basis. While "tensity" means the condition of being tautness but of vitality, the opposite meaning, "laxity" means the state of being comfort and static but of tediousness. questionnaire was conducted: the architects who have more than 3 years of experiences responded to the level of roughness, hardness and psychological tension, regarding 10 basic architectural materials. As a result, the tensity was 1.75 for woods, 3.02 for building stone, 3.12 for concrete, 2.49 for brick, 3.30 for glass, 2.86 for ceramic, 3.35 for metal, 2.21 for plastic, 2.17 for textile and 1.88 for paper. As an average of 2.5, the material which has more than 2.5 was recorded as high tensity material, vice versa. |
