Abstract Recently, a lot of public housings and residential-commercial buildings adopting a column-supported wall system by architectural or client's needs have been constructed. But this system is very disadvantageous from the viewpoint of structural safety because of a sudden change of rigidity and an excessive stress concentration at the transfer floor. Besides, the column-supported wall system causes soft-story action on the seismic load. So, this system has been restrictedly used in other countries. Accordingly, one of the purposes of this study is the collection of data and the investigation about analysis methods of the transfer girder system based on the questionnaire to target a working level. At the same time, the other purpose of this study is the estimation of accuracy about each analysis method and the presentation of efficient analysis method.
