Abstract Information management in construction fieldwork have high cost and low efficiency, because construction work involves various participants and informal data that circulate among them. In particular, the effort to link and share knowledge and information of the participants with each other is not inefficient. The existing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) was developed only for each company not for all of construction participants. Thus, it is necessary to develop the model for efficient methodology for abstracting and applying information of documents that flow among participants in construction project. To meet these requirements, this research proposes the Web-based EDI Model. Using proposed model, we can easily express information, manage versions and retrieve information and extract from documents. Furthermore, the model can create, settle, receive, dispatch, store, and remove document by using the Web. In essence, the model would coordinate the information exchange among the construction participants.
