Abstract The purpose of this study is not only to analyze the spatial structure in the chinese poetry by Hoejae Lee Eun-Juk from architectural point of view but to compare it in the poetry with architectural space as well.
A semiotical approach was used in progressing it, and was analyzed the relativity between a career as a politician and chinese poetry. The spatial structure of the chinese poetry was classified into a material, a category, a structure and each characteristic of them was investigated. The spatial structure inherent in the chinese poetry could be summarized like the following. Firstly, the spatial structure was under the influence of his career and based on dual confrontation between a view of nature and a rule of life. Secondly, the arrangement of space and the relation among structures in the chinese poetry were found by analyzing the materials in it. Thirdly, the materials in the chinese poetry can be classified into space vocabulary, audio-visual vocabulary and condition vocabulary by categorizing them. Fourthly, a structure system of the poetry can be divided into three types - parallel type, middle type and union type.
