Abstract |
The difference of the use of inside and side 'Bo' in korean traditional gabled buildings in the category of Jusimpo-Gye(柱心包係) is a standardization of joint method that Bo is jointed with ‘Teunjangyeoes‘ in the center of a column and 'Oimokjangyeoes' and 'Oimokdori' outward of the column. The variations of joint method of 'Bo' is developed from inside to outside of the center of the column, and from inside to side. Moreover, the development is more definite in the segments in the direction of 'Bo' and 'Dori', when the uses of inside and side 'Bo' are different. In the building where the inside and side 'Bo' uses are different, an inclination of the joint beneath 'Bo' changes from the joint through 'Soro' to the direct connection between segments. And the joint though 'Soro' remains more in flank. Upper joint of 'Bo' is connected with the use of inside and side 'Bo', and it changes according to the relationship of 'Bo' and 'Chogong‘. In the joint of 'Bo' and 'Teunjangyeoes' and 'Jangyeos‘ and 'Jusimdori’ meet one to one, the phase that more elements are jointed in one 'Bo' as a section area and width of 'Bo' get larger is confirmed. The initial feature of 'Changbang‘ that 'Bo' and 'Dori' direction elements are jointed each other is changed that 'Changbang‘ of 'Dori' direction joints with inside 'Hutchoemcha’ and 'Changbang‘ of 'Bo' direction in flank. In the building after 17C, 'Changbang’ changes to the joint between inside and side 'Dori' direction 'Chang-Bang' and 'Hutchoemcha’(short elements of 'Bo' direction). |
