Abstract |
The rapid growth of cities throughout the late 19th and the 20th centuries has been an inevitable outcome of the fossil fuel economy, caused the environmental pollution. So worldwide interest is concentrated on alternative energy or green energy. Now, IEA chose 12 cities including Daegu city as Solar city at the sixth UNFCCC(United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)workshop in the December of 2000. Therefore, Daegu city should carry out both Solar city project and use of Small hydro power, LFG (LandFill Gas). Moreover, Korea government established the law of 'Development of alternative energy as well as Promotion of using and diffusing' in June, 2002 that shows buildings of the administrative machinery of a state and government-established school buildings have to install photovoltaic power system or wind power system if they have an area of 3000 square miles from 2004. But there are still many difficulties in enforcing this law. Therefore this research is a basic study for alternative energy resources and the data of this research will attribute to the application of photovoltaic power system for school buildings in the future. |
