Abstract The purpose of the study is to present the visual characteristic of the Korean by contrasting the experimental formulas on discomfort glare. The experiment was conducted by evaluating discomfort glare caused by window.
The process of the study is as follows: 1) In terms of the previous experiments, the large of Mock-up, evaluation values and subjective position were administrated. 2) With the window luminance ranging from 3,000-23,000cd/㎡, GSV values, DSV values, SV values, eyes recovery sensation and the appropriateness of the operation were tested. 3) From the rational multiple regression analysis on experiment data, the boundary of evaluating discomfort glare was found. 4) On the basis of the evaluated formula DGI introduced by Hopkinson and PGSV introduced by Iwata, contrasting analysis was introduced.
The result of the study on the relationship between GSV and PGSV is similar to that of Iwata, while the relationship between GSV and DGI is different from that of Hopkinson.
