Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to classify various types of the alternative unit designs at ground and top floor level in apartment housing which is recently supplied by construction companies in Korea, and to certificate their effects on residents and to suggest improvement methods. For this research, First, 11 apartment housing estates are selected through literature review and field survey, and types of the alternative unit designs are classified. Second, the effects of the alternative designs on the residents are certificated through survey about residents' satisfaction on the alternative design types classified. Third, the improvement directions of planning for the future are suggested through analyzing residents' behavior and their needs. the results of this study are 1)to classify the 7 types of the alternative designs which includes ①attic at top floor unit, ②rooftop terrace at top floor unit, ③living room enlarged floor height at top floor unit, ④duplex unit at top floor, ⑤private garden at ground floor unit, ⑥private enterance at ground floor unit, ⑦underground storeroom at ground floor unit, 2)to certificate the effects on residences, which are composed of the spacial feasibilities of ①connecting on ground, ②attaching exterior air, ③composing diverse interior space, ④inducing various activities and ⑤opening interior space, and 3)to suggest improvement methods of the alternative designs at ground and top floor units to increase their effects. |
