Abstract |
An adoption of high-speed railway due to the increments of traffic and the requirements of high-speed transit is essential business for the future transportation system and road. However, it is expected that the high-speed railway will cause much annoyance to the residents living in the vicinity of the high-speed railway. ??In this study, the domestic and foreign criterions for the high-speed railway noise were investigated with the basis of the analysis of existing data and a field survey of noise condition nearby high-speed railways. There are limitation to control the expanding noise over the boundary by general soundproofing walls. Accordingly, it is not effective to attenuate the noise in residential area with the noise of high intensity. ??The primary object of the study is to provide useful data for the design of soundproofing wall in residential area nearby high- speed railway. A number of field measurement to various soundproofing walls were carried out. Bused on the results, fundamental data were provided to design the soundproofing wall propels. |
