Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to establish a practical process model for the determination of curing conditions, such as curing temperature and curing period, needed to acquire the necessary strength as the date. And, through these investigations and theoretical considerations, rational curing method for cold weather concreting and strength management system of concrete structures would be established ultimately. ??As the results, for estimating the strength by the maturity using temperature history of concrete, the equivalent ages method for the calculation of concrete maturity and ACI 209 Committee equation for inferring the concrete strength was considered to be appropriate, respectively. ??The quality control for cold weather concreting in domestic construction site focuses on the protection of concrete from freezing at early ages. But, the existing heating method for the concrete curing should be improved, if the ultimate goal of the cold weather concreting is a reduction of construction duration. Finally, the method for the strength prediction of structural concrete and the process model for the selection of rational curing method was presented in this study. |
