| Abstract |
The Korean society, which faces a new issue of accepting foreign workers, is actively conducting studies on foreign laborers. Foreign labor of domestic industry reached about 360,000 recently. And it has become one of the essential resources to fill up insufficient labor in construction industry. However, existing researches are focused on manufacturing industry or general domestic industry, and dealt with matters of foreign labor policies. So there is no study focused on domestic construction industry. Purpose of this study is to investigate actual conditions of foreign labor in the domestic construction site, problems caused by employment of it and manager's recognition of the problems. Also, the research sought to forecast what effect such problems will have on the performance of construction project and thus to suggest research direction necessary for managing ever-increasing foreign workers in the construction industry. In result, this study is expected to contribute to formulation of the best policy and the plan to utilize foreign labor, and prospect of future in the domestic construction industry. |
