Abstract The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze teachers' awareness about unit learning space concentrated on the modernized elementary model schools. The data about difference of teachers' awareness in unit learning space will be helpful to suggest architectural plans for qualitative improvement of educational facilities. The teachers of ten elementary schools are participated through questionnaires with survey of physical environment for this analysis. According to the results, educational facilities, learning area utilizing corner, learning assisting area, environmental condition in classroom, convenient facilities and interior equipment are influential in order on the degree of satisfaction of teachers in the unit learning space. The difference of the terms desired about educational environment of unit learning space in elementary school is also shown in each school. This means that the consideration of foundation background in each school is required to the planning of architectural environment.??Especially, educational equipment for learning and spacial conditions are more influential factors than the interior environment, these factors must be examined
