Abstract |
One of main goals using computer technology in design area is to develop systems capable of performing tasks which when performed by humans may well require intelligence, but which made the computer more useful to humans, without the need that the system exhibit intelligence. This paper describes a design system that supports humans for layout planning of high-rise multiple housing with constraints. The constraints are related to the architectural law, site condition, unit plans, building types. This system is based on quadratic objective function theory and aims to maximize the Floor Area Ratio(FAR) by repetitive generation of alternatives. We focused on verification of algorithm and development of prototype system. The proposed system is demonstrated through a practical design case and evaluated for possible use. |
