Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to examine through construction changes whether the effects for architects to ultimately express over exterior-envelope is for space or function or shape since a birth of modern reloaded exterior- envelope from Dom-ino of Le Corbusier in 1914. It analyzes architects' plastic agony and details centering on the complementary possibility of rationality and expression ways that modern deloaded exterior-envelope surface itself bears instead of existing stylistic classification. The results are followings; 1)Architects experiment in figure or the expression of exterior-envelope surface after their accomplishment of their own system. 2)It has existed as a consistent trend that the space experiments which stem from three- dimensional relations among early elemental plane have been transferred to those bearing planar and monolithic exterior-envelope surface itself. 3)This can be comprehended as a trial to grant arid exterior-envelope expression with modern architect's rational exterior-envelope experiment. 4)It finds that the planar spatial effect results from plastic methods such as detail concealment after removing figures or ideal symbol, the elementalization of exterior-envelope and absence, surface changes of materiality, grant of construction order, planar surface maintenance. |
