Abstract |
The purpose of this study is on the possibilities of using the low-temperature renewal energy system for the apartment districts (500m×500m) in Seoul in the view of energy savings. The followings are the results of this study. ① It is found out that the annual cooling loads' densities are very high in the district of Nowon and Dobong in northern of Seoul, Kangnam, Kangdong, Kangseo, Songpa, Yangchun in southern. ② After making definitions of the renewal energy, the river Han's estimated cooling capacity is evaluated as a heat sink. ③ Energy saving equations are defined. ④ As a result of the calculation of energy saving, Ichon-dong, Kui-dong are estimated as the most desirable districts to adopt the renewal energy system substituting for the normal electrical cooler. ⑤ 144 districts which are expected to be able to save energy with renewal energy system are located within 2 km from the river Han. It means the distance between the heat source and the designed area is the most important variable to decide whether the renewal energy being useful or not. |
