| Abstract |
It is expected that there will be an insufficient number of skilled labor for construction industry in Korea by the year of 2010 and this will possibly weaken the competitiveness of the industry. Among other solutions for this problem, the utilization of multiskilled labor is one of the approaches directed to labor management. In order to utilize multiskilled labor in a building construction, the skill grouping is of high priority at project management level and is to be conducted at early stage of construction. For the optimization of skill grouping, this research presented the skill grouping method considering the factors affecting the skill grouping, which are hiring manpower, idling manpower and skill switching manpower. |
