Abstract The purpose of this study is to suggest a new course model which can fulfill international education standards of professional practice. Architectural education standards of UIA/ NCARB/ NAAB were compared and analyzed to make criteria for this study. Three domestic professional practice courses were compared with this criteria. More specific issues are considered through referring the result of questionnaires of three schools and two graduate programs of professional practice in the United States. A new course model was organized considering the balance of contents and teaching methode which were found as problems through a comparative study.
