| Abstract |
Jinjiaxiang Catholic church in Sanghai was very important overseas historical place of Korean Catholic Church, which was removed in 2001. I could make a survey of the church just before the removal, and have traced the materials concerned.
This study aimes to investigate the history and architectural style of Jinjiaxiang church, and to confirm the place where Father Kim Andrea was ordinated, and to examine the historical significance.
The major results of this research are summarized as follows :
1. I have confirmed that Jinjiaxiang Catholic church was the exact place where Father Kim Andrea was ordinated.
2. The process of construction of the Catholic churches in Sanghai was grasped to some degree.
3. The structure, the composition of interior space, and the decoration techniques of ‘the Chinese traditional style church' has been grasped. |
