| Abstract |
In order to find out the planning methods of residential environment for sound amenity based on the concept of soundscape, questionnaire survey was carried out in Namwon city. Main contents of survey are satifaction of sound environment, evaluation of sound connected with surrounding, and sound representing Namwon city, etc. As the results of analysis, intimacy, comfort, and naturalness as the factors of amenity affect the satisfaction of sound environment, and the satisfaction of sound environmnet depend on natural sounds, traditional sounds, and working sounds as the group of sounds matching the surrounding. According to the degree of judgment for being that it would be better or worse to hear the sound, the sounds were classified into five groups : traffic sounds, traditional sounds, natural sounds, rural sounds, and regional sounds. Results in this research suggest that there is a need to apply management system for urban planning and management program for amenity design. |
