Abstract In this paper, influences of particle distribution of cement and aggregate on the bleeding are investigated. According to test results, amount of bleeding decreases with increase of blaine of cement. As for the effect of fineness modulus(F.M) of aggregate, concrete with high F.M of fine aggregate occurs large amount of bleeding. However, in case of coarse aggregate, continuous particle distribution in coarse aggregate results in large amount of bleeding of concrete. Thus, it is considered that bleeding of concrete is affected by particle distribution of cement and fine aggregate rather than that of coarse aggregate. Bleeding rising speed is accelerated at early stage with fine particle distribution of cement, and it has the peak period at 1∼2 hours after placing, after that, it declines sharply. As for the effect of F.M of aggregates, bleeding is reduced with low W/C and F.M, and, especially, in case of 2.15(F.M), it occurs with slow tendency continuously until final setting is finished. For this reason, it has a positive effect on reducing plastic-shrinkage at early stage.
