| Abstract |
This study is to analyze thermal characteristics of the basement structures with various building types, and to suggest the basic data of technical planning for thermal insulation of the building basements. From the results through the computer simulations, the thermal bridges and heat loss is found under the definite depth of ground level in the basement structures. Therefore, the thermal insulation structure should be installed for preventing the heat loss in the basement. The design charts based on the computer simulation are also suggested to predict the thermal performance for various design combinations, and to aid the optimization design process for the basement structures in the early design stage. |
