Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate about the effect of outdoor space activation on the experienced crime victimization rate through comparison between the activated and non-activated outdoor space in Multi-Family Housings. This study was processed as follows : 1) the analyses of the correlations among the variables such as the physical site planning factors, socio-demographic factors, psycho-behavioral factors, utilization rate of outdoor space, and experienced crime victimization rate. 2) comparing analyses the differences of the variables between the Multi-Family Housings . The results are the followings : 1) some of the physical site planning and psycho- behavioral factors are correlated and effect on the experienced crime victimization rate. 2) neighborhood relationship is very important variable so that correlated with the utilization rate of outdoor space and the experienced crime victimization rate. Finally we found out that the activation of outdoor space through the physical site planning and psycho-behavioral aspects such as the neighborships, positive territorial attitude would effect on the decrease of experienced crime victimization rate in Multi-Family Housings.
