Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to evaluate glare performance in an office space when different lighting types were applied. For the evaluation, Radiance program was used to evaluate VCP(Visual Comfort Probability) and UGR(Unified Glare Rating) system. The results of this study were as follows; 1) The straddled layout of indirect lighting fixture has higher VCP(Visual Comfort Probability) value and the centered layout of direct lighting fixture has lower VCP(Visual Comfort Probability) value. 2) Also, the results show that the centered layout of direct lighting fixture has higher UGR(Unified Glare Rating) value, whereas the straddled layout of indirect lighting fixture has lower UGR(Unified Glare Rating) value. 3) The results of the VDT screen brightness simulation show that indirect luminaire has low glare and low luminance ratio. |
