Abstract Construction delays are a common occurrence of most construction projects and difficult to analyze. The delay by the lost of productivity should be handled by a special method unlike the delay by work discontinuance. Nevertheless, current delay analysis methods regard and analyze the delay by the lost productivity as the general work discontinuance delay. These methods are available when delay happens independently. But, the problem is that they arrange the delay time voluntarily because they can not find the correct time when the delay happens in case that the delay by lost productivity occurs concurrently. This causes the intricate problem that can impute the subject who is responsible for. This paper proposes a delay analysis method that can analyze the correct delay occurrence time and schedule delay by the lost productivity using linear schedule.
