Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to propose both a stress transmission model and a calculation method of the ultimate strength for hybrid beams with a reinforced concrete-steel connection. In order to verify the method a specimen with connectional details of different kinds was tested for its structural performance. The calculated strengths according to the stress transmission model are compared and evaluated with the experimental results. The results show that the average error boundary is converged within 5%. In addition, the main bars of the top-and-bottom single body setup have an effect of reinforcing the shear connector type. |
