Abstract |
This paper present the evaluation of tensile and shear strength of post-installed anchor that can cause a failure of the concrete on the basis of the design for anchors. These approach are compared to each other, especially the well-known provisions of ACI 349-90, CEB Code,??the VAC and CCD method. The use of these methods to predict the concrete failure load of fastenings in uncracked concrete under monotonic loading for important applications is compared. Variables included single anchors away from and close to the edge, embedment depth, concrete strength, diameter of??anchors, tension loading, and shear loading. A data bank including Korean, European and American tests was evaluated. The comparison shows the CCD Method and CEB Method can accurately predict the concrete failure load of fastenings of the full range of investigated applications. |
