Abstract Wandering is used to describe a common behavioral symptom of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia and is the severe problematic behavior makes family to give up caring his parents in his house. As the term is defined "the tendency to move about, either in a seemingly aimless or disoriented fashion, in pursuit of an indefinable or unobtainable goal(Snyder,1978)", there are not any conclusion??why people with dementia move around, whether care-givers have to prevent or contemplate or activate. In this condition, to achieve therapeutic goal of wandering path in nursing home it must be a appropriate and satisfied to demands of user.??The purpose of this study is to analyze the common perception of the attendants to wandering and to find the visual factor influence the selecting wandering route and position of people with dementia. The results of analysis is visual characteristic of wandering path in institution makes different type of circulation and usage of space by people with dementia, visual accessibility is the meaningful factor to selecting wandering route and position of people with dementia.
