Abstract In this paper, applicability of high early strength type AE water reducing admixture(HAEWA), which is developed by the authors to reduce the capable time for form stripping is discussed. Engineering properties of concrete incorporating HAEWA is investigated. According to results, use of HAEA resulted in a slight reduction of slump loss compared with that of existing AE water reducing admixture(AEWA). For setting time, use of HAEWA exhibited a acceleration in setting time compared with that of AEWA. For influence of HAEWA on the replacement method of mineral admixture, replacement for fine aggregates shows the fastest setting time and in order for both replacement of cement and fine aggregates and replacement for cement. Bleeding was observed to occur at early stage with HAEWA. At 20??required time to gain 5MPa of compressive strength, which is capable of side form stripping, is achieved at near 19 hours when AEWA is used, while use of HAEWA before 16 hours. At 10 , use of HAEWA accelerates the capable time for form stripping compared with that of AEWA. Desirable applicability for P type Schmidt hammer was achieved because rebound number by P type schmidt hammer had good agreemen
