Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to analysis the residential space composition and extension of Dureong- Jip in Taeback mountainous region. The results of this study are as follows. The fact that Dureong-Jip to be mixed with 田 shaped Kyup-Jip(a house type with two-row rooms under one roof) of the Yeongdong in circle of Samcheok makes it appear that its origin is to be extended and transformed from the Kyup-Jip Dureong-Jip's entry way which is the side entry is to keep up with Yeongdong type Kyup-Jip's entry way judging from the layout of space. Dureong-Jip's basic type which is ㄱ type with seven Kans is transformed and extended to the Sekyup-Jip(a house type with three-row rooms under one roof) and the Nekyup-Jip(a house type with four-row rooms under one roof) by insertion and addition in spite of insufficient lighting and ventilation. The Nekyup-Jip exist only Dureong-Jip by insertion of two Kan Bongdong(ground floor in a house), one Kan Maroo(wood floor in a house) and one Kan Saibang(intermediate room in a house) in 田-shaped houses with front four Kans and side two Kans of Yeongdong districts. Dureong-Jip is stronger than any other folk houses in tendency to reserve Magu(cowshed) and Chikkan(toilet) in main building. |
