Abstract This study is to know the influence of some variables??to strength reduction about reinforced concrete beam and column members under high temperature. The variables are reinforcement ratios and heating temperatures for the beam member, and eccentric distances for the column member. These specimens are tested with the temperature and loading condition. As a conclusion of comparing the load-displacement and axial force-moment relationships, beam members have more influence to initial stress under conditions of the lower reinforcement ratio and higher temperature. And column members appear the significant strength reduction in the shorter distance of eccentricity. But the role of the loading effect is moderately small in column members.
