Abstract This paper is the result of evaluating slipperiness of ceramic tiles and stones experimentally. The experimental equipment applied O-Y Pull Slip Meter(O-Y PSM) in which validity was most accepted in various slipmeters. The test method using O-Y PSM is specified in the attached document of KS M 3802 etc. The results of slip resistance measurement are as follows ; 1)It was found the result that most of inorganic floor coverings were safety on the cleanliness and dryness, but suddenly changed dangerous condition from the medium such as water, soap and oil. 2) Glazed ceramic tiles and stones were very dangerous from the medium on surface. 3)It is necessary to make small embossment densely on the surface for prevention of slip and fall accidents.
