Abstract |
It is prescribed in the provision of Article 2 of Architects Regulation that the definition of "Field Administration" is: to supervise and affirm whether the building, architectural equipment, or structure is being constructed in accordance with contract documents to guide and direct quality and progress of work, and its safety management. Since the "Provision of Architects Regulation", it has been compulsory to conduct field administration for any building of certain size by a qualified licensed architect to affirm whether the building was constructed in accordance within the legal parameters of the contract documents. However, the intention of the above legislation has become nominal since the government mitigated provisions for duties and requirements of construction engineers, construction progress and safety. There have been constant disputes among many parties since the limitation of responsibility for field administration was never clearly established legally even after the enactment of provisions on field administration. The objective of this study is to build transparency in the construction process by clarifying the limit and extent of field administration. |
