Abstract This paper study the dynamic behavior of steel frames with semi-rigid connections are method as rotational stiffness with bi-linear moment rotation relationships. This model has been used to apply the nonlinear response of flexibly connected frames. The dynamic response of steel frames are obtained using average acceleration algorithm. Unbraced one-bay five-story and eight-story steel frames with flexibly connection subjected to one earthquakes excitation were studies for dynamic response. Their responses show in terms of roof displacement, story shear, interstory drifts.
