Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural behavior of Gukrak-Pavilion of Bongjung-Temple with 2-dimensional structural analysis specially focusing on two different-inner and outer- cross sections. Based on literature reviews on previous research papers and technical reports this research is trying not only to reconstruct a structural model reflecting on real situation, but also to enhance joint definitions in the structural model. As the result of the analysis, in case of inner cross section having an unsymmetrical form the structural members of the rear-side are suffering from relatively higher stress comparing to the those of the front-side and some identical members like Sosulhapjang play different roles in each cross section. In addition, the rear-side Bokhwaban which was broken for real in shown to bear twice as much stress as the front-side one in terms of shear and bending as we expected. In contrast, the outer cross section having a symmetrical form shows that bearing stress are evenly distributed.
