| Abstract |
This research is to classify the types and the features of lobby space through understanding the space structure of the hotel lobby.??For the analysis of each space, we can use the space syntax as a basic words system.??It is more effective analyzing the space objectively and wholly rather than explaining all the features of the spaces.??This research is focused on the study of six hotels located in Seoul because the six special hotels with more than 500 rooms are the good examples of abstracting the characteristics of architectural plans. The analysis of the hotel lobby shows how to understand the whole space structures, characteristics and types. As a result, it could be arranged the hotel lobby space character and type.??The lobby space is explained by the space structure and the sense of vision.??It was a standard that the space structure represented the dynamic and static spaces also the sense of vision stands for visible and non-visible images. In conclusion, it is composed by the character of the space structure, the character of the space area, the sense of vision and the character of each type as four statements. |
