| Abstract |
The city of Incheon has the necessity of reorganizing the actual industrial structure for her continuous growth in the future.??This study is aiming at the selection of the main categories of industry that can play leading role for the regional economic growth of Incheon City.??For this purpose we analyzed time series data of output industrial classification from four different angles of Location Quotient, Impact on the Gross Regional Domestic Product by gross output, Concentration Ratio and Output rate of industry field.?? Especially, for the most effective clarification of the conjuncture, we adopted the factor analysis and regression analysis with use of SPSS 10.0.???? The result led us to choose five leading categories in the manufacturing industry of Incheon as Food & Beverage product, Manufacture of basic metals, Assembling metal-products, and Machinery and Transport equipment.??Food and beverage product has the high growth potential under the favorable condition of the large-scale market in capital region.??Other four categories have strong opportunity with the possibility of enhanced technological cooperation among themselves with the major role of Machinery and Transport |
