Abstract |
When it is aimed to get more reliable estimation of floor vibration, there should be secured more accurate natural frequency of floor system. In general, the natural frequency can be estimated approximately with frequency formula or dynamic analysis. ??In this study, 26 floor systems were sampled from 8 real buildings to investigate the accuracy of existing frequency formulas. Natural frequency for each floor was measured exactly by experimental modal test and estimated approximately with frequency formulas. ??The accuracy and variation trend of existing formulas were examined from comparison of two frequency classes, and a revised frequency formula was suggested as a consequence. ??It was appeared that the suggesting formula be more accurate than any of existing formula and put out approximate frequency within ±10% deviation from exact value. ??The validity of suggesting formula was verified by applying for another 27 floors and 19 floors. |
