Abstract The six preferred double-layer flat grid systems are used in this research, and each model is categorized by the support conditions. ① Corner support ② Mid-side support ③ Corner and intermediate edge node support ④ Full edge node support. The chosen models are space truss and space frame for analysis. To evaluate the efficiency of these model, we must compare for buckling load, buckling mode, displacement and axial force distribution. As a result from the analysis looking for the most efficient model, this study suggest DOS(diagonal on square) model by space frame analysis, and SOS(square on square, offset) model and DOD(square on square, set diagonally) model with mid-side support only by space truss analysis.
