| Abstract |
It has been considered that the small/medium size construction companies frequently deliver defective construction results due to their inferior financial conditions and technical capabilities.??While many public project owners show the tendency to procure their projects at the sizes that prevent the companies from participating the projects although 70% of construction companies in Korea belong to that category, there has been few research that clearly identify the major reasons for the faulty construction and reasonable approaches to mitigate them.??The main objective of this research is to recognize the failure factors that cause defective results of the small/medium size construction projects.??In order to meet the research objective, this study analyzes the consequences of the public auditing activities conducted in the year 2000 as to the public educational facilities projects during 1997 ? 99. |
