| Abstract |
This paper presents notion of digital house, as a future house, emphasizing on developing an interactive user interface of digital house. In this paper, digital house integrates physical smart house and virtual digital house adopting ubiquitous computing. It discusses two different user interface: physical space-based user interface and virtual space-based computer user interface. To connect these interfaces, physical sensors and virtual sensors are considered. Especially, this paper focuses on the computer??user interface of digital house based on virtual reality model. The main issues in computer user interface are ways of information display and control of architectural elements in house. For visual presentation of house information, this paper uses two different color mappings: positive color mapping and negative color mapping. Implementation processes of interactive user interface are described. Finally, this paper demonstrates the computer user interface of virtual digital house through the example. The example shows various interior images of digital house with color combinations obtained by color mapping corresponding to various temperature. |
