| Abstract |
The main purpose of this study is to analyze transforming characteristics of the housing plan types in the modernizing period of Korea from the 1920s to the 1960s. The result of this study shows [or ascertains]??the inherited modern building structure as patterns in transforming process of housing plans. Traditional??housings have been transformed to the 'MARU'-centered plan type', which is based on the traditional Korean structure combined with modern desires. The modern Korean housing type is different to the modern Japanese inner corridor plan type caused by the cultural identity. |
