| Abstract |
Kunsan was became modern city after the open port at 1899. And then, Kunsan was developed and expanded rapidly, during Japanese Imperialism. Owing to the background, some of modern buildings such as public offices, stores, house buildings has remained at Kunsan. So, Kunsan has a merit for the studying about the formation of modern city and the features of modern buildings. Under the current situation of loss and transformation of modern buildings, the purpose of this paper is to collect a low-data about modern buildings, by the survey of references and existing buildings, and to examine the characteristics of urban area and modern architecture in Kunsan, during the process of modernization. |
