| Abstract |
This paper investigates one of the newest digital design methods in architecture to date: Genetic Algorithm (GA)-based generative growth system as a creative surface synthesis process to explore for new architecture.??The paper consider aspects of design computation and discuss the new understanding that these have been approached in order to make computation useful in creativity of design.??The digital design process based on the GA in architecture has typical features that new structural morphology, the operative mechanism of the inheritance and variation, the population- based adaptive process and the integrated productivity by the holistic control. |
