Abstract |
Byeol-Seo means a villa which have designed for leisure, retire, recreation, and entertaining guests. Byeol-Seo is believed as one of important architectural type in traditional architecture of Korea. And lots of heritages construct in Jo-Seon dynasty are still remained. Most of previous researches on korean Byeol-Seo have focused on the period of Jo-Seon dynasty, but very few have given an attention to Go-Ryeo dynasty. This study, therefore, deal with the Beol-Seo in Go-Ryeo dynasty by interpreting ancient literature. The result of this study suggests that the site and architectural planning might be the origin of Jo-Seon dynasty. |
