Abstract Generally, when we design a HVAC system, energy saving and economics are important evaluation factor. Specially, a HVAC designer has always limited for his work and HVAC system is modified at pre-design phase, which affects architectural design process. Therefore, the convenience and economics have to be reflected to evaluating effective HVAC system. In this process, we suggested the concept of Energy Cost Factor(ECF) and effective evaluation method to evaluate simultaneously economics and energy saving, presented regression equation of six alternative HVAC systems for energy cost(LCC_EC) which can be presumed Energy Cost Factor simply. However, because of economical concept of regression equation, it have to compare with result of LCC evaluation. This research, for validate the applicability of simplified calculation method of energy cost suggested through prior research, would compare simplified method values by regression equations of energy cost and values by life cycle cost analysis to six alternative HVAC systems on medium and large office buildings.
